Matt and Leslie,

Just thought I'd give you a quick update on Sandy.

What an absolutely lovely dog!!!!

She settled in here perfectly.  Buddied up with our dog immediately, stayed next to us where ever we went, always came whenever she was called, didn't wander at all, and basically fit right in on our farm.  She was well-behaved, very affectionate, and as it turns out, was perfectly housetrained too.

Jim and I became very, very attached to her, and in the end were hoping desperately that our friend (who we bought her for) wouldn't like her. Much to our HUGE disappointment, he fell in love with her too, and since we had promised her to him, ended up taking her home with him.  So as we speak, she is now on her way to Quebec, already charming everyone she meets along the way!

So unfortunately we lost our little dog, who we really would loved to have kept in the end, however you (and we) can rest assured that she has gone to a wonderful home, with someone who will really adore her, and will shower her with lots of time, attention, and work to do.

Anyhow, just thought I'd let you know how things went, and wanted to congratulate you on raising such lovely dogs.  Jim is still absolutely impressed on how different your dogs are from any other heelers that he has ever seen or met.

Keep up the good work.  We'll be recommending you to anyone who asks us about blue heelers, and who knows, maybe we'll be in the market for one ourselves now...

J&Y

sad note:  Sandy was killed a year or so later, on the highway following her new Dad - car accidents are one of the most common killers of Heelers - remember, they want to be with you and may follow when it is not safe - always make sure they are tied or fenced in before you leave or take them with you.
