AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOGS:The dogs all have the inherited "cattle" sense. Many of our pups have gone on to be top ranch dogs. An equal number are selected as pet stock to simply be family buddies. Either way they'll win your heart. We have worked with both Riley and Maggie in agility and fly ball activities and they caught on very quickly and had a ball! (pardon the pun!) If you'd like more information on this wonderful sport for you and your dog, check out Alakazam, or Dog-Play/agility. An excellent source of information on Blue Heelers is Australian Cattle Dogs. Our special girl, Blustarmax Quicktrick (Jeddah) and the late (Blustarmax Justhetrick (Sheila) from Blustarmax ACDs - Lisa and Michael Maxwell of Caloundra, Queensland, Australia proved themselves to be wonderful additions to our exisiting family of Maggie and Riley (not to mention all the equine members). Progress reports
from our first litters from these girls indicate the pups are doing very well
and we have some very happy families learning the magic of this breed.
To see what people are saying, click here. ![]() We sadly said goodbye to our buddy Riley February 28 - he passed quietly with us at his side - after a very full life - he will be missed by us all but in particular his partner Jeddah and his buddy Newt. He and Newt spent many hours together developing a great game of tag that would keep them occupied for hours. Sure miss your waggly tail, bud!
In memory of a very special girl - you have left us far too soon, but we'll see you again someday - wait for us by the Rainbow Bridge - we know you'll be watching! I long to feel your body pressed against my leg as I walk down to feed the horses. Miss you my sweet Gump. |
