Introducing Our Family:

All members are extremely affectionate, playful (love to play ball, fetch , swim, etc) and loyal.  They love kids and people in general but will warn us of anything out of the ordinary.  They are adept at moving livestock although not formally trained. Several of our pups have gone on to become top ranch dogs as they are very quick to fine tune their natural abilities.

Did you know?    The ACD  'BLUEY' is reliably recorded as having lived longer than any other dog. He lived in Victoria, Australia, and was born in 1910.  He worked among cattle and sheep for almost 20 years and lived for 29 years 5 months.  Most dogs have a life expectancy of between 8 and 15 years.

Sheila - Blustarmax Justhetrick - 2004-2007

In memory of a very special girl - you left us far too soon, but we'll see you again someday - wait for us by the Rainbow Bridge - we know you'll be watching!  I long  to feel your body pressed against my leg as I walk down to feed the horses.  Miss you my Gump.

Due to a tragic accident spring of 2007, our family  suffered a huge loss.  Sheila was hit and killed by a visitor's truck as she came out to greet him in our yard.  Our grief was eased only slightly by our appreciation for her sister, Jeddah's willingness to take on the pups.  We have kept one of Sheila's pups - Matty (Mathilda) as a legacy to Sheila - we hope to see pups in 2009 from Matty and Quigley, our newest family member, a fine young boy from Spurs N Spokes Ranch.

Jeddah & Sheila - on the left, all ears, fresh from Australia, and on the right - 10 months old, just about grown into those same ears

Maggie Mae   1993 -2007

2007 saw the passing of our family matriarch - Maggie Mae has gone on to join Sheila - she has left a lasting legacy in the pups and grandpups she produced over the years and we welcome any stories of Maggie pups that anyone wishes to share.  Our front door step seems so empty without her, even though Matty, Jeddah and Riley take turns at occupying her special house, it just isn't the same.

Maggie was our resident Agility and Flyball student.  It's a nice break from the farm work and as you can see, we're having lots of fun - if you get the opportunity, check out this great way to enjoy quality time with your best bud.

  • Our current litters are not registered, but beginning in 2009, we will have CKC/AKC registered pups available (from Jeddah and Quigley).
  • Our dogs are tested PRA clear.
  • Tails are not docked unless special arrangements are made prior to the birth of the pups.

Check out pictures of pups from our most recent litter by clicking here. We will post updated pictures of new litters using this link so check back from time to time.

Remember to book early if you are looking for a particular style of marking.
