Studebaker

Studebaker and Pasha
Studebaker
As for a funny story, with Studebaker, there are too many to write. He is a very smart and determined dog. He has a ton of energy, loves to chase the ball and if he is near water, you know that I'll have a water mark up to my chest. One day my wife, Lauren, and I were watching TV  while Studie was chewing on a 2 litre bottle of coke(mt) when a movie preview came on.(Erin Brokivich) Studebaker stopped chewing and started to watch the TV. A shot of Julia Roberts came on and Studebaker jumped to his feet. I looked at my wife as she looked at me and we both laughed. Then a close up of Julia Roberts came on the screen and Studebaker ran to the TV and started  to lick Julie Roberts. I lost it. With tears in my eyes, my wife turned to me and asked, " What the hell have you been teaching him?".

This was only a Monday night, The real fun starts to the weekend.

Just a bit about the other dog Pasha.

We went to Kelowna for 1 day. Kelowna is famous for not being a very "dog friendly" town. I found only one place to take Studebaker where there was water. We were playing in the water talking to some girls (he seems to attract more that I ever could) and one said that there was a dog like mine at the spca.

I took a drive up there to see and when I went into the back I almost cried.  Pasha was in a pen with 4 other dogs and she was the smallest and in heat. The Kelowna SPCA were great, I told them that I would have to check with the big boss(Lauren).

When we were leaving Kelowna we stopped by the SPCA. Lauren took one look and said yes she will be ours.

Pasha had been abused very bad and she was abandoned or a stray. She is deaf and I found out that that is a common trait with ACDs. We had her fixed, but we think that something went wrong when she was under. Three weeks after the operation she started to have seizures. We are working with a homeopath doctor and she is coming along fine. She is another smart dog and being deaf has it's challenges but she can do a lot of tricks and get along with Studebaker like they were brother and sister.

Sorry this is a long letter, but I just wanted to thank you for Studebaker and introducing us the an incredible breed of dog.

Thanks

Jim, Lauren, Studebaker,
Pasha and SB. Henry
